SHIPPING POLICY

Currently, in-stock orders are shipped within 1-3 business days.

Please note that we don't ship on Saturdays, Sundays, or national holidays. Orders placed on weekends and after 1 PM PST on weekdays will not ship until the next business day.

Orders can be shipped to PO Boxes.

All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Shipping. For a standard order (non-corporate order) the cost for shipping is included in the price of the product. For all corporate orders the shipping costs are declared at the time of the order and included in your invoice.

Since all of our products are handmade in batches, occasionally items have a delayed shipping date. If this is the case, we will contact you directly via email to notify you of the change and status of your order.

We'll send tracking information your way as soon as it's available. In the occurrence that you purchase an item that requires local pick up or freight shipping we will contact you immediately to sort out the details.

While we do our best to provide the most accurate and up-to-date lead times, items are occasionally backordered. Backordered items will ship upon availability. Should there be any change in delivery timeframe, we will contact you as soon as possible.

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)

- Any item not in its original condition, damaged or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, check your bank account again.
Then, contact your credit card company as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank; there is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at tilowoodworx@gmail.com.

Board Care

What to do with your cutting board

  1. Use it always. It is the safest way to cut any food. Plastic and glass boards are not as safe with regards to bacteria (bacteria cannot live on wood) and knife slippage (potential to cut yourself). Glass boards will dull your knifes faster (Dull knifes have a higher potential to cut yourself).
  2. Put a dish towel under it. This will help keep the board in place. Depending on a counter’s surface, the board may tend to slide. The towel stops the board from sliding, making it safer for you.
  3. Wash it. Clean with warm soapy water then rinse with clean warm water.
  4. Dry it. Immediately after washing it, use a clean dry towel or paper towels to remove as much excess water as possible. Leave the board out in an open area to complete the drying process.
  5. Use our Board Conditioner. After the board is complexly dry, rub a small amount of our board conditioner with a clean microfiber rag or paper towel
  6. Display it. Our boards are not only functional, but also a piece of art for your kitchen.

What not to do with your cutting board

  1. Never let your cutting board get extremely dry or place it on or near excessive heat (such as a stove). It is made of wood and can burn. Even if they don't catch fire, excessive dryness could cause cracking or breakage. Use our Board Conditioner regularly as described above.
  2. Never leave your cutting board to soak or sit wet. Extreme humidity can cause the wood to swell, warp or weaken the structure of your board. Putting a wooden cutting board in the dishwasher is taboo!
  3. Never cut continuously in the same place on your cutting surface. Distribute your cutting over the entire work surface so that it will wear evenly. We offer a refinishing service. See the “Other” section in our Store.
  4. Never use only one side of the cutting board. Turn your cutting board over periodically to allow even usage on both work surfaces.
  5. Never use a razor-edged cleaver. This can chip or splinter the wood. Your cleaver should have a dull sharpened edge for best results.
  6. Never leave your cutting board uncleaned after cutting meat. Always wash the board thoroughly in warm, soapy water after cutting fish, red meat, or fowl on the work surface. Use a clean dry towel or fresh paper towel to remove excess water and allow to air dry well before storage. (This process kills 98% of bacteria on the board)
  7. Never cut off ends, drill holes, make cutouts or otherwise deface the surfaces (use sand paper) without refinishing the exposed unfinished wood. We use 100% food safe finishes on all of our cutting boards. Use the Board Conditioner as described above. Note that we also offer a complete refinishing service. See the Other section in our Store.
